Jonathan Sandford – Business Development Manager

With more than 35 years of experience in the waste management industry, Jonathan brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge to Anenta’s growing care home focus. Throughout his career, Jonathan has built extensive experience across the waste sector, from running his own successful document shredding business to leading nationwide sales teams at plc level.

As Business Development Manager dedicated to the care home sector, Jonathan works closely with care homes and nursing homes across the UK, helping them identify opportunities to streamline waste management processes, improve compliance, and achieve significant cost savings.

His role includes managing existing waste contracts, supporting care home waste logistics, and ensuring service delivery, and waste disposal performance are top tier. He’s also responsible for delivering tailored end-to-end waste management solutions designed specifically for the care and nursing home sector.

Jonathan is particularly passionate about helping care homes eliminate avoidable waste management costs. By supporting better segregation practices, improving staff training, identifying overbilling issues, and assisting with complex pre-acceptance audits, he helps care providers reduce administrative pressures so they can focus on delivering high-quality resident care.

Outside work, Jonathan lives in Hertfordshire and has a passion for history, enjoys travelling, cooking, and spending time with family and friends over good conversation.
